September 2018 Bluegrass Beat Print

President's Connection

Hello MPI Members!

Labor Day has come and gone and fall is here!  With that comes cooler weather, football, and yard work. Yes, more yard work. If you have been to any home improvement store lately, you have seen the fall yard products out. This is the time to begin stocking up on grass seed and planning any tree or large shrubbery plantings. You will definitely want the seed out and the trees and shrubs planted before the first frost.

Like our yards and the changing of the seasons, our chapter is always changing and in need of care. As a chapter, we are always growing and cultivating the best possible landscape for our industry professionals. Our monthly events will provide the climate and landscape for us to bring in new members so that they can grow in the industry. If all of our current members can help by inviting new potential members to our events, then we can plant the seeds of future growth. Through continually promoting chapter growth in the fall, we will be pleasantly surprised next spring when our current preparation and hard work begins to flourish.

Join me in cultivating a thriving and growing chapter of involved members ready to face all of the industry challenges!

Overview of Program

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) is an organization with strong values of responsibility and integrity. Per our Principles of Professionalism, MPI is committed to providing safe, harassment-free environments, where open dialogue, ethical behavior and constructive communication are encouraged.

If a member observes and/or experiences unprofessional behavior, he or she is encouraged to report it via the MPI Cares Hotline, which is hosted by third-party provider, EthicsPoint. If preferred, members have the option to submit reports anonymously via the hotline.

Additionally, the MPI Cares Hotline can be utilized to seek guidance and/or clarity related to MPI’s policies and procedures, as well as for providing suggestions, positive feedback and member testimonials or stories. MPI guarantees that all comments will be reviewed.
