Board of Director's Connectionfeaturing Joan Minton February 2014

This month Joan Minton, VP of Membership shares some exciting news and information about the upcoming 2014 MPI MidAmerica Education Conference.

This marks the 14th year that the MidAmerica Educational Conference will be held. This conference, also known as MAC, is a true partnership between the Kentucky and Ohio MPI Chapters providing education and networking opportunities for all attendees.
From the perspective of a former MAC co-chair, I can tell you that a lot of hard work has gone into the planning and coordinating of this event. It takes many volunteers as well as the involvement of the leaders of both chapters to provide you a rewarding experience as an attendee of MAC. Whether you are a planner or a supplier, you will find sessions tailored just for you!

This year's conference is packed with outstanding speakers including our opening message by MPI Chairman, Michael Dominguez. Michael is a dynamic speaker and you will want to hear what he has to say about MPI International! Keynote speakers include Dave Gordon, Scott Christopher, Sam Glenn, Karen Hough and David Merrell.
There will be "jam" sessions and "studio" sessions - what will I choose to attend? The choices for the breakouts this year are going to make it hard for you to choose just one!
I hope that you are planning to attend MAC. Continuing education credits are earned; lifelong friendships are formed ... and you find MAC to truly be a one of a kind experience.
This year's conference will be held in Columbus, Ohio on March 2-4. The Hyatt Regency is hosting our conference in downtown Columbus. Besides being the capital of Ohio, you will find Columbus has a vibrant downtown area that will make you want to come back to fully experience all that Columbus has to offer.

Got your calendar marked yet? Don't delay ... come be a part of the 2014 MAC Conference! You'll be glad you did!
